Trenarrett.

Trenarrett is an ancient hamlet that is recorded in Doomsday. It is recorded through history with having two adjacent farms with the two small 600 yearoll farm houses still surviving. The small hamlet has increased in size more recently with sadly a couple of new build houses currently being added to the 5 inhabited dwellings.

Altarnun

Altarnun is particularly noteworthy due to its beautiful church gaining notoriety in Daphne Du Maurier’s “Jamaica Inn” or more recently and on a lighter note in TV’s series “Doc Martin” as the location of his wedding. The church itself is well wort a visit with its carved wooden pew ends and exquisite Rood Screen.

John Wesley’s Cottage can be found in nearby Trewint.
